Ritchie County Middle School is located in Ellenboro, WV just a short distance from US Route 50.  RCMS was built in 1993 as a central middle school for Ritchie county after Pennsboro Middle School and Cairo Middle School were consolidated.  Approximately 375 students in grades 5-8 attend RCMS which is housed together with Ritchie County High School, and collectively, RCMS/RCHS provides daily instruction to almost 800 students in their 69,000 square foot building.  Educators at Ritchie County Middle School work diligently to prepare students for high school and ultimately, to become productive members of society that are ready to meet the challenges of the global community.
